Household Hazardous Waste Household hazardous waste cannot be disposed of in the trash!
There are many items that are considered household hazardous waste (HHW). Please look for "signal or warning words" on labels such as Poison, Danger, Warning, Caution, and other precautionary Statements, to assist you in determining if your item is household hazardous waste.

San Bruno Garbage Company's Transfer Station, located at 101 Tanforan Avenue in San Bruno, accepts the following HHW by appointment only from 10:00am until noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To make an appointment to drop off any of the items listed below, call (650) 583-8536 or use our online contact form. No appointment is necessary on Saturdays from 8:00am until 3:00pm.
